ABOUT US
Alpha & Omega Community Outreach Center, Inc. is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service organization. Its purpose is to fulfill a growing need for poverty alleviation and increased socio-economic stability among low-income individuals and families of underserved communities within the Jackson, MS, metropolitan area.
Our mission is to provide a holistic approach (including physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual) to combating poverty and its debilitating consequences, such as food deprivation and homelessness, while simultaneously empowering individuals, families, and communities through the implementation of educational and other viable social service programs, evidence-based research, and increased public policy awareness.
OUR VISION
We envision stronger communities, with residents stabilized to the point of holistically rising above the effects of poverty and other social, economic, and spiritual barriers.
OUR VALUES
We believe and value God as the only sovereign and supreme being... "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty" (Revelation 1:8)
We believe in the dignity and worth of every person... in regard to respect, cultural diversity, the promotion of self-determination, and empowerment.
